Hojicha is a Japanese green tea whose main difference is the roasting method. On hot days, it helps to quench thirst, and on cold winters it helps to warm up and cheer up. The Hojic roasting process reduces the amount of caffeine and catechins in tea, which are responsible for bitterness and astringency. Doctors advise drinking it not only for adults, but also for the elderly (it is also recommended for people with poor health).

The brewed Hojicha tea has a light reddish brown color. It has a fragrant taste and a refreshing aftertaste.

Brew in a teapot with hot water around 80 degrees.

The tea is harvested in autumn in Shizuoka Prefecture (Japan).
